“Innovation” – sounds deep doesn’t it? Nearly every operation, every initiative, every startup, works through the same steps, Ideate -> Innovate -> Systematize -> Maximize.

Everything you think is unique, what it awaits is an innovative way to show it out!

According to experts, innovation possibly involves technological transformation and management restructuring. It also means exploiting new technology and employing out-of-the-box thinking to generate new value and to bring about significant changes in society.

Irrespective of what they say, I say that it isn’t that complicated. Sometimes, outstanding results are achieved by simplest methods. All you need to do is change your perspective and look at things in a different, i.e. unbiased way. People will call you nuts, but your ideas will work!

About 85% of the world population has new ideas every minute, and maximum of these ideas get rejected. Why? Because you know someone has used this already. Universe is finite. You can’t keep inventing new things, you’ve got to invent ways to apply existing things.

“Keep it Simple” – heard of this? It works!

During ideating stuff, everyone’s so excited and full of enthusiasm, and then when you bring it on the table, it becomes obvious and boring! Isn’t it?

But there’s a catch – What’s simple is the best, and what looks the most difficult, sells! Think over it…. Most complicated problems in the world have had the simplest of solutions, with billions invested, of course. You know the problem, you know the solution too, where do you think the dollars go?

3

Why this question?

With a plethora of competitors in the market, all ideas and businesses now have a crave for innovation! This applies to your ideas too. Learning doesn’t stick to books, it elucidates on the way you think. And now’s the time to ask yourself, are you innovating enough?

It doesn’t need to be complex, think it this way…

Innovation with Creativity – Changing the way you greet people.

If you’re a salesman, or if you’ve seen any, what do they normally ask? “Sir, may I help you?” and you say “No Thanks just looking”. Now if they would’ve asked, “Sir, maybe I could show you a better version of the dress you’re looking at.” Or “Sir, a better version at a better price is available, would you like to see it as well?”

Now, you suddenly would reply a “Yes” or a “No”. Either ways, you will have a probability of “Yes” and hence increase in sale for the salesman.

Don’t look at me, that’s called innovating!

Another Example?

5

What happens when you ask your best friend to do something for you, a favor? He says “No”, duh! He’s your best buddy!

Next time, whenever you want anyone to do anything, try “keeping your hand on his shoulder” and asking him to do something. You’ll see a change yourself.

Yes, innovative way to convince people!

Innovation is mechanism by which you identify yourself in a person’s mind and establish individuality. As, Michael E Gerber rightly says, “Innovation is a signature of a bold, imaginative hand!”

What happens when you ask yourself, “Am I innovating enough?”. You start evaluating your IQ, your daily routine, etc and say “No, I don’t, I can’t” then comes your hidden Einstein that says, “I can do this the innovative way”.

Instead of screwing things in your house, try thinking this “How can I do this the simpler way?”.

6

Innovation doesn’t lie in what you do differently, it lies in how you do it in a simple way. Example? – Technology!  –  Think!!

There’s always a way to do it better, find it!
